  • Paper-like Screen The Kindle
Utilizing a new high-resolution display technology called electronic paper, Kindle provides a crisp black-and-white screen that resembles the appearance and readability of printed paper. The screen works using ink, just like books and newspapers, but displays the ink particles electronically. It reflects light like ordinary paper and uses no backlighting, eliminating the glare associated with other electronic displays. As a result, Kindle can be read as easily in bright sunlight as in your living room. The screen never gets hot so you can comfortably read as long as you like.

    PMP Test Scheduled

    By Raymond Keckler | November 21, 2007

I scheduled my PMP test. I will be sitting for the test at 9:30 am Dec 5 2007. From now and till then I will be posting my study notes and comments on project management.

My interest in project management started in the Navy. Everything was organized and neat. Schedules were developed and maintenance of equipment was kept up to date. That maintenance was checked for quality and thoroughness. The schedule was checked to ensure all tasks were completed. If an overhaul was going to be done, we had a project schedule to ensure all requirements for the overhaul was met.

I brought this train of thought with me when I was with AMS. There was some difficulty in getting the basis of project management started. There was a certain way they did installations and programming. However, deadlines were being missed and after the install, more programming was needed. This was due to a lack of planning and lack of defined deliverables.

I moved on and eventually came to Homes.com. There is still a lack of project management. We are slowly moving towards a project management system.

More to come as I study for the test.
